Privacy policy
Last updated 6 November 2026. This explains, in plain words, what villatab collects and why.
This website
- The site does not set cookies and does not run advertising or tracking scripts today.
- The trial form does not send your details to our servers. Pressing the button opens WhatsApp with your business name, owner name, phone and city filled in. The message reaches us only when you press send in WhatsApp.
- Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as the time of a visit and your IP address, to keep the site running and safe.
- If we add visitor analytics later, we will choose a privacy-friendly tool, describe it here first and say what it counts.
When you message us on WhatsApp
WhatsApp is run by Meta and has its own privacy rules. We use your number and message only to reply, set up your trial and support you.
The villatab app
When you use the app, you and your staff enter information about your guests, bookings and payments. That information belongs to your business.
- Kept apart. Every business has its own data. The database limits each request to that business's rows, so one customer cannot see another's.
- Passwords. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never as plain text. A reset link is single use.
- Backups. If you turn it on, the app saves a daily copy of your data to your own Google Drive. The app can see only the files it creates there.
- Guest ID photos and receipts. If your staff upload them, they are kept with your business and are not shown to other customers.
- We do not sell data. We do not share your guest data with advertisers.
Your guests' information
You decide what to collect about your guests, and you are responsible for having a good reason to collect it. Collect only what you need, such as a name, a phone number and, where your rules need it, an ID proof.
Keeping and deleting
You can ask us to delete your business account and its data. Write to us using the contact details below. Copies already saved in your own Google Drive stay with you until you delete them.
